GIANT OBELISK DOMINATES CHICAGO SKYLINE.—The John Hancock Centre towering above other buildings north of the city’s main business district. The structure has 100 storeys and is 1107 ft high. The spires on top are bases for television antennae, which will add another 349 ft. Half the building will be occupied by business, parking, and office facilities, and the other half by apartments.
