Rehua Party To Travel
Sixty boys from the Rehua Maori Hostel will travel to Ashburton on Saturday. They will compete in sports events at the Tinwald Domain in the afternoon and perform in a concert of Maori entertainment in the Baring Square Methodist Church hall in the evening. The chairman of the hostel committee (Mr M. E. Lloyd) said that the trip would be the first south of Christchurch for many of the boys, all of whom had come from the North Island.
They will be accompanied by their coach, Mr J. Waretini, of Lyttelton, who had recently moved from Ashburton.
