BID TO SWIM COOK STRAIT
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 25. Policewoman Margaret MacRae, a former New Zealand swimming champion, hopes to swim Cook Strait tomorrow. But the prospect of good weather was diminishing late tonight. Miss Macßae’s pilot, Mr J. Cataldo, who piloted K. Hancox on the 16-mile journey in February, 1964, will wait until nearly 5 a.m. tomorrow before making a final decision.
