Gifts To Gallery

The Christchurch artist, Sidney Thompson, recently gave two of his sketches in oils to the Robert McDougall Art Gallery. The sketches, painted at Concarneau in 1912 and 1915 to set the atmosphere for larger works, were very vivid and effective, said the director of the gallery (Mr W. S. Baverstock).
