The Westland Racing Club's reply to the suggestion by the New Zealand Racing Conference executive that it should in future hold its race meetings at Oinoto, Greymouth, was released in a statement today by the president, Mr B. Hood. "The answer is a most definite no," said Mr Hood. Greymouth has as many racing fixtures at present as it can economically support and to add four more days racing to that centre would be absolutely disastrous for all racing clubs involved, the Westland Racing Club maintains.
