Jockey Still Unconscious
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. The Wingatui jockey, R. N. Marsh, who suffered a fractured skull when kicked by a horse on Saturday, has not yet regained consciousness. However, there was a slight improvement in his condition, hospital authorities reported yesterday.
Marsh was attending to Royal Rejoicing’s gear in the parade ring before the running of the Farewell Handicap at Wingatui when another horse being led round took fright and lashed out, striking Marsh on the head.
