Parachuting Cancelled
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Feb. 23' • The Rothman's South Pacific parachuting championships were cancelled on Saturday because there was too little time left to complete the programme. The championships were to have started on Monday and ended yesterday. Poor weather caused postponement of jumping until Wednesday; and further competition was restricted to Thursday and Friday. Only one event was completed, the 1000-metre accuracy jump. Results were: Hauraki 1, Manawatu 2, Rotorua 3, Whenuapai 4, Canterbury 5, Nelson 6.
