Big Rice Crop In Aust.

Australia's rice harvest was expected to reach 234,000 tons this year, the manager of the Rice Marketing Board (Mr C. E. Dalton) announced yesterday. This year’s crop amounted to 81,941 acres, Mr Dalton said. This compared with last year’s production of 217,340 tons harvested from 75,685 acres. Australia, with an average rice production of 2.87 tons ■an acre, once again led the 'world in yield an acre.
