BATES, Matilda May— On February 16, 1969, at Princess Martaret Hospital, loved mother of Mavis (Mrs Ford), Thora (Mrs Grade), the late Gladys (Mrs Thompson), Gavin, Mervyn and William; aged 73 years. Sadly missed. Funeral notice to follow.

BELL, Charles John—On February 15, 1969, at Wellington Hospital, dearly loved husband of Alma Mildred Bell, of 7 Wyndrum Avenue, Lower Hutt, and loved father of Lois (Mrs McMaster, Upper Hutt), and Dianne, loved father-in-law of Colin, and loving granddad of his grandchildren; in his 65th year. A service will be held in St Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Waiwhetu Road, Lower Hutt, Tomorrow (Tuesday). February 18, 1969, at 11.15 a.m., and thereafter interment in the Rimu Street Lawn Cemetery. J. BRUCE, Helen (nee Nell McAlpine, Denniston), late of 18 Willow Street, Christchurch, widow of the late Thomas Bruce —On February 14, 1969, at Christchurch, dearly loved mother of Harvey Hammersley, and mother-in-law of Celia, also loved nana of Ira, Denise and Lynne; aged 65 years.
