Burglaries Reported
Money, clothing and liquor were among the goods taken in burglaries reported to the police yesterday.
When an Albert Crescent house was broken into between 12.15 a.m. and 3.15 a.m. yesterday, $132 was stolen.
In burglaries on Wednesday night $3O was stolen from a motel in St Albans Street, $2l was stolen from a house in Webb Street, a small sum of money was stolen from the Opawa School, Ford Street, and $8.40 was stolen from the Department of Education’s bulk store in Kyle Street. Liquor worth $2.95 was stolen from T. E. Marriott, Ltd, Madras Street, and an unknown quantity of clothing was stolen from Nu-way (St Albans), Ltd, dry-cleaners, 1027 Colombo Street. Goodmans Food Centre, Ltd, at 410 Innes Road, was broken into and an unknown quantity of goods taken. The theft of a spotlight worth $7 between January 31 and February 3 from a car in Mcßratneys Road .was also reported.
