Matron For Rehua
Miss Janette Shallard has been appointed assistant matron for the Rehua Maori boys’ hostel, which is run by the Christchurch Methodist Central Mission. Within the next two weeks 43 new boys will come from the North Island to Rehua. Miss Shallard has been assistant matron at the Campbell Park special school in South Canterbury and has worked on the Auckland Diocesan Social Service Committee. She also spent 18 months ont he staff of Dr Barnado's Homes in London.
