SEQUEL TO “SIT-IN”

Student leaders in South Africa’s English-language universities have asked for a meeting with the Minister of Police and the Interior (Mr Loureus Muller). They want to discuss the action taken against students who were prominent at a “sitin” at Cape Town University in August of last year. Some foreign students had their residence permits cancelled, while South African students had their passports taken away.
