Talks On Legumes
I (N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) MELBOURNE, Feb. 3. The first meeting of the New Zealand-Australia Pea and Bean Industry Panel began in Melbourne today. The panel, set up last November to co-operate in the orderly marketing of peas and beans in the area, is expected to have periodic discussions. New Zealand sources declinded to comment on the progress of today’s talks. A statement will be issued when the meeting ends tomorrow. The panel is studying the supply, demand and price situation in both countries and can make suggestions about the marketing of peas and beans in both countries.
