Adviser On Parks

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 7. A United States expert on national parks administration arrived in Wellington this week to advise the National Parks Authority on some of the problems it is meeting in developing New Zealand’s national parks. He is Mr S. P. Weems, a staff member of the United States National Park Service for the last 36 years. The chairman of the authority, Mr R. J. MacLachlan, said today that Mr Weems would be in New Zealand for a six-week tour of all the country’s national parks, and would report to the authority at a special meeting in Wellington on February 14.
