Crossing Made On Plank
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Dec. 18. Two Australian climbers, Messrs R. Posner and C. Monteath, who were held up when a snow bridge on the Anna Glacier collapsed, returned to the Tasman Saddle hut on Tuesday evening, after clambering across a long plank placed over the schrund by Ranger R. Ryan, who had set out from the hut with three other men to rescue them. This was reported by Ranger L. Busby, of Mount Cook National Park headquarters, this evening.
