Visits By Two U.S. Warships
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. Two United States Navy ships would visit New Zealand next month on their way to America, the United States Information Service said today. The 44,000-ton aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Intrepid will visit Wellington from January 13 to 15. The 8000-ton guided missile frigate U.S.S. Wainwright will visit Auckland from January 25 to 29. Both ships are units of the U.S. Seventh Fleet and have been serving in Vietnam. They will both be coming from Sydney.
