SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
The scholarship given each yqar by the St Mary’s Convent Old Girls’ Association was this year won by Therese Johnson, of the St Mary’s College Primary Department. The association’s Christmas party was well attended, with the Reverend Mother and Sisters as special guests. Officers elected at the biennial meeting, held in conjunction with the annual reunion recently, were: President, Mrs R. Arney: vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Leeming and M. Adamson; secretary, Mrs M. Cheyne; assistant secretary, Mrs P. Devonport; treasurer, Mrs D. George; assistant treasurer, Miss P. Noonan; committee, Mesdames E. Steel, S. Brown, M. Husband, M. Duncan, M. McNabb, W. Hempsqed, S. Keenan, M. Rumble, M. Hodgins, J. Morley, Misses C. Lake and R. O’Connor.
