Entertainment At Osaka Planned
(yew Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 18. Planning has begun for entertainment at the New Zealand pavilion at Expo 70 in Osaka.
The Minister of Overseas Trade and chairman of the New Zealand Commission for Expo 70 (Mr Marshall) said today that the commission had set up a panel to advise it on the planning of entertainment both for the pavilion and for the New Zealand national day. New Zealand had nominated June 14, 1970, for its national day, but this date had still to be confirmed by the Expo authorities. Elizabeth II Arts Council (Mr D. Peters), an N.Z.B.C. representative, Mr P. C. Nisbet, a director of the Auckland Arts Festival organisation, Mr W. L. Thomson, the secretary of the Pan Pacific Arts Festival (Mr A. MacKenzie), the chairman of the Maori Theatre Trust (Mr P. Keiha), an authority on light music, Mr G. Young, of Wellington, an expert on theatrical management, Mr N. J. Glover, of Auckland, and a field director of the Wool Board, Mr W. G. Bowen.
