INFANT DEATHS
Comment By Minister (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. New Zealand had lost ground In comparison with other countries in relation to infant mortality rates, mainly because other countries had gained ground, the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) said in Parliament today. Mr McKay said there were never any grounds for complacency where infant deaths were concerned. “The Maternity Services Committee, the Maori health committee of the Board of Health, and the Child Health Council all have this question constantly under review.” '
