Savings Banks Deposits
<N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. The thirteen trustee savings banks in New Zealand have continued to achieve conspicuous gains for the seven month period—April to November, during which time deposits exceeded withdrawals by S22m, said the secretary of the Associated Trustee Savings Banks (Mr F. R. Bums). During the same period last year the net gain was 516.5 m. At November 30 total depositors’ funds stood at S3B7m, compared with 5352 m last year.
