IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO START LIVING
You find you want to entertain more, but in a relaxed and casual manner. You will be apt to issue invitations to “come over for a dip,” when the weather’s fine, and the temperature over 68 degrees. As the latter conditions are unpredictable, in Canterbury at least, catering can be a problem, a strain on the larder, the budget and the leisure time of the hostess. An old New Zealand custom has been re-establish-ing—ladies a plate, gentlemen a bottle: and most spur-of-the-moment guests prefer it that way. They feel they really can take advantage of your invitation. A swimming pool isn’t just for the youngsters. To be a pool owner is an entry into a whole new way of living. It means prolonging a youthful approach to everyday
life and is a chance to enjoy activity and health for more years than you anticipated. It gives added impetus to weight control, and opportunities to wear colourful, becoming fashions.
Your pool will be the heart of the new outdoor life for all ages. For teen-agers, pool living is almost as important as the pool itself. It is a magnificent asset to family life.
