NEW RADIO STATIONS
Some Channels Available (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. Commenting on the possible heavy demand for channels jwith the introduction of prijvate radio, a spokesman for the radio division of the Post [Office said today that the [broadcast band was fairly [well loaded but there was (room for some expansion. I He said he could give no [indication of the number of [channels available. [ There could be quite a number, he said. It would depend ;on the location and power of the new stations. ! When alloting channels the i Post Office had to work in [close co-ordination with Australia and the Islands.
