Liquor to passen- , gers will be served by the Railways for the first time tomorrow—on the Blue Streak rail-car, which will leave Wellington for Auckland at 8.20 a.m. Drinks will be on sale from 15 minutes after departure from Wellington or Auckland to 15 minutes before arrival at the terminal station. Thomas) said I today that some difficulty had! been experienced in obtain-' i ing supplies of certain lines : of spirits in the miniatures I and a full range might not I be available when the service' i began.
I Liquor in the meantime I will be available only on the [express rail-car and it is not planned to serve it on the ;present express trains to [Auckland. A buffet car. however, is being built for the South Island express. The new sleeper cars which ! are to be built for the North) Island main trunk will also incorporate liquor facilities. I
