Box 513, Christchurch, are invited for the purchase of approximately 400 Cords of Firewood on a royalty basis to be produced by the tenderer from a 10-acre block of windthrown Pinus muricata in compartment 61, Eyrewell Forest. Operations to be carried out as directed by the officer in charge at Eyrewell Forest. The successful tenderer is to supply his own equipment and plant, and is to construct access and snig tracks where required. Produce to be stacked and not removed from the forest until tallied. The provisions of the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1955. and regulations thereunder are to be strictly observed. Tenderers are required to contact the officer in charge, Eyrewell Forest, to arrange inspection of the area before submitting a tender. Upset price $1 per stacked cord. A deposit of 20 per cent will be required to be lodged with the Conservator of Forests before the commencement of cutting. Time for removal, six months.
