Steel And Tube Prospects
The Steel and Tube Company of New Zealand, Ltd, Wellington, continued to face difficulties in. satisfying demand for tube because of inadequate import licences, the chairman (Mr F. H. Kember) told the annual meeting. He could not give any indication of sales since October 1 but said that there was undoubtedly more optimism pervading the country which should ensure the company succeeding in attaining targets set down. As announced, the profit of $1,026,104 covered the 13) per cent dividend 2.2 times.
