West Indies Win Easily
(IV.Z. Press Assn. — Copyright) MILDURA. A sparkling 78-run partnership by S. M. Nurse and J. Fredericks highlighted the West Indies easy win over a Victorian Country XI in a two-day match which finished yesterday. They were together for only 44 minutes. When Fredericks, 53, was run out going for a quick single, the West Indies were 160 for three, only two runs behind the country Xi’s total of 162. The visitors went on to make 401 to the delight of the big crowd. Scores: Victoria Country 162 (B. Walder 54; L. King 4/58), West Indies 401 (S. Nurse 93, R. Fredericks 53, J. Hendricks 61 not out, C. Lloyd 52; J. Delvridge 4/63).
