1000 Roll At Lincoln
More than 1000 full-time students are expected next year at Lincoln College, it I was reported to yesterday's meeting of the council. “With sharp increases in the degree and diploma of I horticulture courses to 55, it may well become necessary to I introduce further streams for laboratory classes,” said the principal (Dr M. M. Burns). Enrolments for 1969 indicated that there would be an increase of about 15 per cent over 1968, he said. Staff were at present reviewing teaching and timetable arrangements. Dr Burns said the college had been advised of a special grant of 57700 a year, as from April 1 next year, to assist the soil science department with the teaching of soil science at Ham for forestry students.
