Mr H. E. Grover Retires Mr H. E. Grover, the Audit Department s district supervisor in Christchurch for the! last 10 years, retired yester-j day after nearly 41 years service with the Government. Mr Grover said he had no plans for his retirement. “I just intend to enjoy it, that’s all.” he said. In the 33 years Mr Grover was in the Audit Department he served in Wellington, Dunedin, Invercargill, and Napier before coming to Christ- ■ church. Mr Grover was bidden farewell at a function yesterday afternoon attended by representatives of about eight local bodies and three Gov- '■ ernment departments. He was presented with a wall clock, on behalf of the local bodies,' by the Christchurch City I Treasurer (Mr L. A. G. Rich). The Deputy Controller and Auditor-General (Mr R. S. Meech) presented him with a set of golf clubs, and Mr A. I R. Cochrane, one of the district auditors, presented Mrs! Grover with a bouquet. I
