Mr H. B. Lee: The track cyclists in the 1930’s were able to achieve speeds of 40 miles an hour on the straights behind the motor cycles but naturally it was almost impossible to corner at such speeds when the banked as they are today, tracks were not as steeply There are no records kept of lap-times.
