Geyser Land Destroyed
“The Mst” Special Service AUCKLAND. Geyser Lqnd, the winner of $23,795 in stakes, was destroyed at Paeroa on Saturday after he broke a foreleg in the flrst furlong of the race. A seven-year-old gelding, by Red Mars from Dolly Gold, Geyser Land was owned by Mr and Mrs W. J. Costello and trained at Matamati by R. J. Leggett. He won the Hugh Dent Memorial last year. His other nine wins included the Cornwall Handicap, Mitchelson Cup (dead heat with Go|d Chick) and Avondale John Wells HandL cap.
