The Levin stayer, very unlucky in his latest attempt at Levin, should come back to form on the course which gave him his first open-class success, in the corresponding race two years agoin a He’d such as this. Point Duty stands out. He has won ssa races on wietropolitan tracks.

Goldy Boy looks the main rival, for he likes racing on his home track. He won the McMillan Memorial last year, and he has had two other open successes on his home track. Of the rest, perhaps Cox will fare best. A well-bred horse, he has taken s time to strengthen, but recent placings suggest he may be on the verge of his best season.

The second leg. the Huia Handicap. should result in a contest between the two Pakistan three-year-olds. Sharda and Cantostan. Both finished second last time out. Cantostan behind Chapel Belle at. Levin, and Sharda to Patrida at Woodville.
