NEW ARMY RECOVERY VEHICLE FOR CHRISTCHURCH.—This vehicle, the only one of its kind in the South Island, is being used by the 3rd Transport Company workshops at Burnham. The four-wheel-drive unit is shown easily lifting a large cargo truck. It will undergo its first field trials this week-end in an exercise near Hanmer Springs involving 100 soldiers and 30 vehicles.
