The position is non-residen-tial. The salary scale prescribed by the Regulations for “Specialist” is:— $6020-8100 per annum. The commencing salary within this scale will be determined by the Director-General of Health in accordance with the appointee’s qualifications and experience in the specialty. Duties: supervision of airline operations in accordance with Civil Aviation regulations and requirements governing flight safety throughout New Zealand and certain Pacific territories; flying duties as required. Qualifications: must hold and Airline Transport Pilot Licence or possess qualifications which will enable it to be readily obtained; a minimum of 2000 hours as pilot in command, 1500 hours of which are on large multi-engined aircraft and 300 hours of which are by night; wide experience of large multi-engined aircraft on air transport operations; wide knowledge of operational requirements for air transport operations.
