‘FAVOURITE BEATLE’

tN.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, December 12. Paul McCartney is Britain's favourite Beatle, according to a poll published by the “Daily Express.” The poll took place after the release of a new album called “The Beatles.” Half the 5000 votes were cast for Paul McCartney, described by one reader as “the one who looks like a naughty choirboy.” Next, with a quarter of the votes, came Ringo Starr, apparently the married woman’s favourite. The more aggressive and sardonic John Lennon polled a surprising low 15 per cent of the votes. His angry flouting of convention brought him the suppport of the intellectuals, mostly male. George Harrison came last, admired mainly for his musical ability.
