Cabinet ministers from Asian countries will meet at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East (E.C.A.F.E.) in Bangkok on Wednesday for four days to decide on measures of economic co-operation through regional development projects
The main attention of the meeting will be focused on harmonising national development plans of individual countries for the benefit of the region as a whole. The ministers will examine, among other things, the possibility of expanding intraregional trade as a long-term project, and will review the work of the E.C.A.F.E. Trade Promotion Centre, set up last year as a servicing agency to find new markets for Asian products.
