Longer Life For Women
(N Z Press Association) HASTINGS, Nov 13. Women today were living longer than men. said Pro fessor W. Fergusson Ander son. David Cargill professor of Geriatric medicine at the University of Glasgow, in Hastings this morning. “If we could do anything to prolong the life of men a little it would be a good thing," he said. Professor Anderson was in Hastings to lecture on aspects of the care of the aged. He said that in old people's homes and hospitals one found widows in great num bers.
“The reason is that man has a four cylinder engine and woman has a six cylinder Woman is prepared for bear ing children and has a better heart and system generally."
