Kaiapoi Cup Retained

North Canterbury retained the Kaiapoi Cup in its annual golf match against Banks PeninsulaEllesmere, played at Greendale. North Canterbury won the cup by 105 matches to 75. PeninsuiaSelwyn won the foursomes section, 35 to 25, and North Canterbury the individual matches, 8 to 4. North Canterbury has now won the cup three times and Peninsula-Selwyn twice.

Foursomes.—J. Rich and M. C. Gray beat. B. Seddon and T. Morgan, 1 up: W. Poka and W. Bayley lost to J. Warwick and G. Earl 1 down; R: Walsham and T. C. Cockburn halved with D. Warwick and M. Sullivan; R. Gunn and C. Nain beat B. Mclntosh and M. Childs. 2 and 1; E. J. Gallen and G. Weir lost to K. O’Callaghan and P. Fleetwood. 1 down: J. Taylor and R. Gilbert beat B. . Poole and D. Russell. 5 and 4.
