CATTLE ENTRIES WILL BE A FEATURE
Good entries of cattle will be one of the features of the livestock section at this year’s show. In the dairy classes 170 individual Friesians have been entered, while in the beef section entries have jumped from 78 last year to 102. Considering that Canterbury is not a dairying province, the dairy, cattle entries, particularly those
for Friesians, are regarded as excellent. In the beef section, the Hereford section with 54 entries, will account for more than half of the total entry. Entries for all sections are well up to average, the total being .4271 compared with 4144 last year. . Details of entriei are: 1968 1967
Entries for wool have had to be estimated, because exhibition is by post entry. With increased Interest in beef raising, a break-down of the beef cattle entries is worth-while. They are:
