The American, G. Archer, scored an eight-under-par 64 in the $U5125,000 Hawaiian open golf championship yesterday, for a one-stroke lead, Another American, R. Lotz, was almost the last man to finish, and had a 65 to be second. M. McLendon and K. Ellsworth had 665, M. Barber, R. McCallister and S. Reid 675, the tournament favourite, W. Casper, 70, and A. Palm«r 71.
