SYDNEY

Silver Valley, the busiest stock on the board this week, eased 6c to Me. The debut of Genoa Oil on the oil post saw the traditional heavy selling by stags. The shares, issued at 20c, opened at 22c and eased back to 16c. The options issued with the shares started at 10c, dipped to 7c, recovered to 10c. Oil Search met further support with a 4c gain to 57c. B.H P., up 30C to 1795 c, Bank of N.S.W. 14c better at 680 c, and Burns Philp also 14c higher at 574 c, lead a revival in the Industrials. Rises outnumbered falls 6 to 5, with oils and mining doing best.

MELBOURNE Share prices continued to firm in quiet trading. C R.A. made 90c at 1690 s and Western Mining 40c at 990 c. Most other rises were moderate. Consol Gold Fields finished 10c lower at 720 c. after a low point of 700 c. King (aland Scheelite dropped 20c, and Peko fell 5c at 1000 c. Oils were irregular. Magellan made 10c at 245 c. Industrials were mostly higher in small movements. B.H.P. gained 30 at 1825.
