TOP CYCLIST TRANSFERS
D. J. Savage (Avon), one of the leading road cyclists in Canterbury for the last few seasons, is soon to move to Melbourne.
Savage is to many an Australian girl in Dunedin tomorrow and will be away for two or three years. One of his best performances was to finish second and take third fastest time in the 100-mile Timaru-to-Christehureh race in 1966. Last year he was fifth in the Canterbury Air New Zealand Grand Prix and took second fastest time in the Shirley Lodge 80-mile race.
