COAST VISIT
31 Swimmers In Team
The New Zealand middle distance freestyle champion, A. B. Kindred, will captain a team of Canterbury swimmers and divers on a long weekend visit to the West Coast next week.
The West Coast is now part of the Canterbury centre and the visit by the team of 31 competitors is aimed at stimulating interest and raising the standard of the sport in the area.
The team will be divided into two parties, one for Greymouth and the other for Westport The competitors will give demonstrations and assist in coaching before rounding off their visit with a carnival.
