Brewer Has 67 To Lead

SYDNEY. The 56-year-old Texan. G. Brewer, took the lead in the first round of the 510,000 Wills Masters golf with a six-under-par 67. He was one stroke ahead of P. W. Thomson (Australia), and two in front of the South African, G. Player, the Englishman. P. Townsend, and the 18-year-old Australian. J. Newton.
G. B. Woistenholme, the English professional, had bir dies at the last two holes to finish on 70.
W. J. Godfrey was the best of the New Zealanders, with 71. J. M. Lister had 73, T. Kendall 76, and D. Mashray 80.
