Scientology In Aust.
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright; LONDON, Oct 13. The British-based world headquarters of the Church of Scientology has granted a 82,679,000 interest-free loan to its church in Victoria, Australia, the board of directors has announced. It will be used “to build a new study centre for art culture and humanity, and local businessmen and civic leaders with a record of honesty and integrity will be invited to serve as trustees,” a spokesman at the headquarters, in East Grinstead, said. He added that the building, in lava-textured cement, would be called "The Box,” and architects throughout the world would be asked to submit designs reflecting that name.
Scientology psychotherapy with religious overtones—has been condemned by Britain’s Minister of Health (Mr Kenneth Robinson) as socially and mentally harmful, and the Government has attempted to ban scientologists from entering the country.
