MATING FOR UNPAINTED
"The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. Unpainted, one of the best mares of recent years and the winner of the Doncaster Handicap at Randwick last autumn, is to be mated with the Ra Ora sire, Sovereign Edition.
The owner-trainer, C. M. Taylor, said at Takanini yesterday Unpainted would probably be sent to Ra Ora during the next week.
A five-year-old chestnut mare, by The Cobbler from Dogma, Unpainted was bought by Taylor as a yearling for just under 8700 and in three seasons she won nearly 845,000.
