AWARD TO PLUMBER
The New Zealand master plumbers’ travel bursary, sponsored annually bv the Bank of New South Wales, has been awarded to Mr N. Hilton, a 21-year-old plumber from Riccarton. The bursary, which draws applications from all over New Zealand, is awarded to enable a plumbing journeyman, who has qualified for the trades registration certificate, to travel to Australia to advance his technical knowledge and to gain experience in specialised fields of his trade. Mr Hilton will leave for Australia early next year. He Will spend about 12 months in the eastern states working under the direction of the Federated Master Plumbers of Australia.
