Kent Holds Tour Lead

(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. The Wellington rider, H. J. Kent, is leading the 230-mile Tour of the Manawatu cycling race, after yesterday’s two stages. Kent had a fine ride in the 55-mile stage in the afternoon, winning the sprint to the line from D. Brown (New Plymouth), B. Preston (Levin) and W. Cornish (New Plymouth). C. Owens (Wellington), the tour leader after the first stage, had the misfortune to puncture 10 miles after the start in the afternoon and never regained the bunch.
