ROWING MEDAL
Swiss Pair Favoured (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MEXICO CITY. Two Zurich oarsmen, undefeated as a team for the last four years, carry Switzerland’s only outstanding chance of a medal in the Mexico City Olympic Games, Associated Press reported. Melch Buergin and Martin Studach will be pulling hard for the gold medal in the double sculls event They already hold the world and European titles. The Swiss pair have not been defeated since 1964. This year they temporarily split up and tried their hands at the diamond sculls, but neither made the top grade. Both are aged 24, Buergin is 6ft 2in, 13st lib, Studach, sft Ilin, 12st 81b.
