Good Win By New Rider A cyclist new to the sport, S. Boon, rode a solid, steady race to win the Mairehau Novice Wheelmen’s annual Kaiapoi-to-Chrlstchurch 13-mile classic on Saturday morning. Boon was in the lead before the field turned into Kainga and held his lead from a big bunch of nine middle-markers who were in hot pursuit. B. Reid sprinted In his co-markers, R. Reid, A. J. Howson and P. Robinson, for second place. J. F. Delore gained the fastest time when he sprinted the other break-mark riders, G. V. Neale and P. J. Reddock.
