SALE OF MATUA
Eastern Trade Routes (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. The owners of the islands trader Matua, the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd, have accepted an offer for her from an Asian buyer who intends to run her on eastern trade routes. Her new owners are expected to take delivery of her within a month.
The Matua has been lying idle at Auckland since August 13. She has been replaced on the islands trade by the 2808-ton Taveuni, formally the Danish freighter Argentinean Reefer.
